Chaos in Constantinople

By Patric Nyström & Per Demervall

In this fourth adventure, Siri and Zack are back in Constantinople! But everything isn’t as it should be…

The emperor has got a new counsellor, who is scheming to get on the throne himself and become incredibly rich. He steals the ring that is supposed to bring the emperor and the people good luck, and goes on to accuse Siri of being the thief! The kids escape with the counsellor’s guards hot on their heels. At the same time, a rumour about the emperor’s bad luck is spreading quickly among the people.
When the emperor is eventually thrown out, the counsellor takes his place on the throne. Soon, the palace is filled with valuable treasures he has stolen. Luckily, Siri receives help from the smallest inhabitants of the city to stop the counsellor’s devious plans and to clear her name.

Reviews

"With a swift plot, well researched illustrations and a tough little girl in the lead, Siri the Viking is a reading experience for all ages. Not the least does it convey a story about cultural encounters in the Middle Ages, which should be written about more often in our time."

The Swedish Research Institute in Istanbul (SRII)

"This series about the courageous and charming Viking girl Siri is no less than a masterpiece. A children’s comic series in the same category as the best international works."

The Swedish Academy of Comic Art
