The Book of Darkness

The Dark Book has the feel of an old-fashioned fairy tale but in a modern style. A pompous tale in black and white, an overindulgence in words and pictures, about Princess Little in her increasingly endangered castle. She goes out into the woods, out into the darkness, but she is not afraid. If you are afraid, everything is dangerous. If you are not afraid, it can be beautiful.

Hannele Mikaela Taivassalo has written, and Lena Frölander-Ulf has illustrated a wonderfully dangerous and eerie book that, despite all, has a happy ending.
