The Jungle Crew: The Sprouting Rebellion
What happens when children independently decide to turn their city into a green jungle?
The jungle crew is worried: the city has so little greenery that the insects have nowhere to live. The children are tired waiting for the procrastinating adults, and decide to face the problem head on by planting seed-bombs all over the city. Soon the whole city sprouts into an impenetrable jungle! However, it’s not until the children start working together with the adults that the city becomes comfortable for everyone to live in.
This is a stand-alone sequel in The Jungle Crew series by artist Johanna Lumme, who has built her picture books on the pressing themes of climate change and nature preservation. Lumme’s vivid illustrations captivate both younger and older readers alike.
