A middle-aged wine drinker arrives in his old hometown and reunites with old drinking buddies, but time has not treated any of them kindly. The wine drinker is forced to ask himself a terrible question: does a person only become a worse, weaker, and uglier version of themselves with age? Wine Drinkers is an autobiographical and self-ironic depiction of fiery friendship, youthful exploits, life’s bitter disappointments — and the delightful act of drinking wine.
