The world of Lollo & Bernie continues to expand. Just over a month ago, the new website lollobernie.com was launched and in April a new Lollo & Bernie location opens. For the first time ever, Ving together with Nordic Choice presents “Solens Land” (The Land of the Sun), the popular mascots’ first playground concept.
On April 1, the gates will be opened to the 230 square meter Lollo & Bernie playground at Quality Hotel Friends in Stockholm, which will be the first in a series of playgrounds that are planned to open. Lollo & Bernie might be mostly recognized at hotels around the world, but with this new concept called Solens Land (The Land of the Sun) they will take an important step towards establishing themselves on home soil and reaching an even wider target group.
The new Lollo & Bernie concept Solens Land has been developed in close collaboration between Ving’s creative in-house departments, the company True Stories and Nordic Choice/Quality Hotel Friends. Solens Land is a 230 square meter playland that welcomes children and their families to an enchanted world with lots of play, singing, dance and crafts.

The Solens Land playland consists of three parts: the sea, the beach and the home. The idea is for the children to playfully explore the environment that Lollo & Bernie otherwise live in abroad. In the playland, there are palm trees, surfboards, deckchairs, a craft area, slides, a smoothie bar, an activity room, a stage, kitchen and a separate disco room. The target group for the playland is children between 2-9 years of age.
Open for families who stay at Quality Hotel Friends in Stockholm
The establishment of Quality Hotel Friends in Solna just outside Stockholm is both a way for Ving to strengthen Lollo & Bernie’s brand, but Solens Land will also be an exciting addition for the hotel, which has an attractive location near both Friends Arena and Mall of Scandinavia. The playground is not open to the public but becomes a unique experience that guests at Quality Hotel Friends get free access to. The playland will not have a children’s club in the way that exists in Ving’s hotels abroad, but here children get to explore Lollo & Bernie’s magical world together with the adults. At events and on other selected occasions, Lollo & Bernie will also be present.
Solens Land in Stockholm will be Lollo & Bernie’s first playland concept, but plans are already in place to eventually open more playlands both in Sweden and other Nordic countries.
