Finnish lifestyle brand Billebeino has teamed up with one of the most well-known sailors in the world for their latest clothing collection – Popeye.

Billebeino is a Finnish lifestyle brand founded by former NHL-player and Stanley Cup finalist Ville Leino. Ville’s passion for sports and expression through art came together to inspire the brand. Billebeino creates everyday staples like tees, sweatshirts, hoodies, caps, and beanies that are responsibility made – 40% of their garments are made of Pure Waste fabrics that consist of materials that are 100% recycled.

For Billebeino’s founder, Ville Leino, the choice of collaborating with Popeye came naturally:
”Popeye was one of my favorite characters when I was growing up. As a matter of fact, I have few things in common with Popeye. We both have same tattoos. Our logo and classic anchor. Also, my father was a sailor man.”
Leino also describes appreciating the process of getting to go through the archives of Popeye artwork and adding their own Billebeino touch to the designs.
This Popeye sweatshirt is made of 100% recycled pre-consumer jersey waste clips. It’s not only undyed but also durable and super comfortable and the recycled fabric saves 6200 liters of fresh, clean water.
The collection includes a trucker cap, sweatshirt, hoodie and three different t-shirts.
