Close to 250 candidates from over 60 countries are nominated for the Astrid Lindgrens Memorial Award 2019, among them R&B authors and illustrators Linda Bondestam and Salla Savolainen.
The winner be announced on April 2 2019.
Other nominees include Maria Turtschaninoff, Marika Maijala and Ilon Wikland.
