A huge congratulations to Little Ghost Laban for winning Storytel Awards 2020 in the Children’s category for best audio book! The story is written by Inger and Lasse Sandberg and recorded by Inger Sandberg.
Little Ghost Laban was nominated by a jury and then Storytel listeners was able to vote on who they thought should win on Storytels website.
The motivation from the jury was:
”Sometimes less is so much more. An iconic children’s character that gives small children an exciting and safe story to trust. With big warmth the reader captures the poetic and fairytale imagery and enhances the story in different layers.”
Storytel describes Stora Ljudbokspriset – Storytel Awards – as an award that is created to highlight audiobooks as its own independent media in the entertainment industry. An audiobook is a big production where the end result is dependent on the collaboration between an authors text and the recording readers interpretation of the text. Storytel Awards wants to highlight the most successful productions and reward our great author and readers.
The award consists of five categories – children, youth, fiction, thrillers and facts and is dedicated to both author and reader. The price consists of 10 000 SEK, a hand made glass statute and a diploma.
