Founded in Cologne in 1898, RIMOWA has become one of the quintessential houses for prestigious luggage, renowned for its iconic design and pursuit of excellence. Throughout its rich history, RIMOWA has constantly partnered with tastemakers and institutions that impact culture beyond the world of travel. Now, the German Maison continues this tradition with an exclusive pop-up at Japan’s leading department store, Isetan.
Made to celebrate RIMOWA’s Original collection, the pop-up will be held from June 12th to June 18th, 2024. It will display the full line-up in a showcase of the Maison’s commitment to German craftsmanship and timeless design.
Alongside the Japanese debut of RIMOWA’s latest Original collection in Emerald and the seasonal range, the pop-up will unveil a limited-edition capsule collection with Moomin, the legendary series created by Finnish writer and artist Tove Jansson.
The Japan-exclusive collection includes two RIMOWA & MOOMIN Charms, each showcasing one of the comic book series’ iconic characters, Snorkmaiden and Moomintroll.
Additionally, a RIMOWA & MOOMIN Giant Sticker Set, which includes 30 stickers enclosed in a customized RIMOWA & MOOMIN box, will be available.
The collection also features a RIMOWA & MOOMIN Sticker Set housed in a customized sleeve and featuring six characters.
The exclusive offerings include a specially made shopping bag inspired by an illustration from the Moomin book The Dangerous Journey, which was first published in 1977.
