Siri Kolu's The Robbersons receives an Honour Title mention in In Other Words competition for children's books in translation

Siri Kolu‘s roadtrip adventure featuring a sweet-loving gang of robbers has been selected as an Honour Title at London Book Fair in BookTrust’s In Other Words competition for children’s books in translation. Me and the Robbersons was chosen from over 200 international submissions. In Other Words showcases outstanding middle-grade books  picked for their literary merit as well as commercial potential. The book is under submission with several British publishers at the moment.

Siri Kolu says “I am delighted with this honour and thank Book Trust in believing in The Robbersons.  The humour and anti-consumeristic message of the book has universal appeal, and I look forward to the book reaching British readers in the near future.”


Me and the Robbersons was awarded the Finlandia Junior Prize in 2010 and the Dutch Silver Slate Pencil award in 2012 and made into a film in 2014. Its rights have been sold in eighteen languages
