The descendants of Finnish immigrants in modern Sweden face a country that is no longer a haven

Kaija’s father has died and she is travelling from Stockholm to a town in Southern Sweden, to be with her mother. Waiting for her train, she hears that a Molotov cocktail has been thrown into a local Finnish school, the very same one her granddaughter attends.

Her daughter’s ex-husband has previously tried to abduct the child to Turkey against the mother’s will. The whole family is suffering over the bitter custody battle.
