Delipap’s Moomin Baby diapers selected as a finalist for Best Sustainability Initiative in the Licensing International Excellence Awards
Rights & Brands has received another nomination in the prestigious Licensing International Excellence Awards as Delipap’s Moomin Baby diapers is one of the finalists for Best Sustainability Initiative.
According to Licensing International, the Best Sustainability Initiative award recognizes a licensed product or product range that is making measurable improvements in sustainability. Delipap’s Moomin Baby Diapers was recently also shortlisted for a 2024 Bologna Licensing Award in the Best Licensed Sustainable Project category.
This nomination is Rights & Brands’ third nomination in the 2024 Licensing International Excellence Awards. It was earlier announced that Moomin has been selected as a finalist for Best Brand – Publishing, Stationery, Social Expression, and the Eton x The Beatles collection is a finalist for Best Product – Apparel, Footwear, or Accessories for Entertainment Brands.
The motivation for Delipap’s Moomin Baby diapers reads:
“The company behind Moomin baby diapers, Delipap, was founded in the 1970s with the aim of producing diapers that are friendly to children’s skin. The founder of the company came up with a new kind of diaper made of crushed paper and opened the first diaper factory. Delipap started working with Moomin 30 years ago when they asked the creator, Tove Jansson, if they could use Moomin on their product.
Delipap uses all its years of experience to make the best diapers possible and as environmentally sustainable as possible. This means using only the purest and safest raw materials sourced responsibly and manufactured with renewable energy. Since 2021, domestic Moomin Baby diapers are 100% carbon neutral. Delipap is still constantly engineering its diapers to minimize its CO2 footprint and compensates the remaining amount by favoring Gold Standard-certified projects under the UN Climate Neutral Now program.”
