The children’s book series Maxi & Helium by author Camilla Brinck has sold over 3,5 million books in the Nordic. The beloved book series will now become an animated feature film by Nordisk Film and Qvisten Animation.
Maxi & Helium (“Musse & Helium”) is a universe that includes books, music, games and performances – and now film. Nordisk Film and Qvisten Animation have secured the film rights to Maxi & Helium from Lindrizia AB, the owner of author Camilla Brinck’s children’s and family universe about two mice and their fantastic adventures. In the Nordic region alone, over 3,5 million Maxi & Helium books have been sold.
Will make Maxi & Helium a part of children’s upbringing
Based in Norway, Qvisten Animation is known for having produced blockbuster films such as Månelyst i Flåklypa, Dyrene i Hakkebakkeskogen, KuToppen and this Christmas it’s time for the premiere of Bukkene Bruse i Badeland.

The new film deal is part of the international expansion of the Maxi & Helium brand that also includes books, music, games, performances and much more.

For the author Camilla Brinck, it feels fantastic to finally be able to tell the world that the universe she has created around Maxi and Helium will find its way to the cinema screen.

The upcoming Maxi & Helium film will be targeted Nordic as well as international markets, with renowned film company Nordisk Film co-producing and holding the Nordic distribution rights.
