A new Moomin Shop has opened in Osaka, Japan
A new Moomin Shop opened in Osaka, Japan on September 1st. The queue ran long on the day of opening, as customers were eager to shop in this new official Moomin shop filled with over 1000 different products.
Last year it was announced that several new official Moomin Shops will be opening in Japan. One shop opened in Ginza in December 2022 and a drop-in style Moomin Shop was opened inside Sapporo Stellar Place in April 2023.
The latest Moomin shop in Japan opened on September 1st in Osaka. The shop is in the Lucua Osaka shopping mall, which is directly connected to JR Osaka Station, one of the largest station shopping malls in Japan. The JR Osaka Station is also the largest transportation hub in the Kansai region. With a population of over 10 million people up to the tertiary trade area, the area can reach a wide range of customers in the Kansai region.
The Moomin shop in Lucua Osaka is located on the eighth floor. The storefront is open and showcases Moomin products to shoppers passing by. The new shop offers a wide range of licensed Moomin products. The assortment includes books, stationery, kitchen goods, confectionery, toys and more.
About 50% of the assortment of products in the store are imported products from Nordic Moomin licensees. Some of the Nordic brands include Moomin Arabia, Fazer, Skultuna, Rätt Start, Muurla, Martinex, Opto Design and Nordicbuddies. In total, over 1000 different SKUs from international and local licensees are for sale.
Moomin Shop Osaka is located at Lucua 8th floor, 3-1-3 Umeda, Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka. Opening hours are from 10:30 to 20:30.
