All About Yoko

Now all three Yoko’s Diary books in one edition!

In her diary, the young Yoko writes about everything – her family, friends, life at school, and about her feelings and worries.

She writes about her clumsy dad and her mortifying mum, about her best friend Anna who is adopted and is so angry at her parents that she wants to move back to China. Yoko writes about the other girls in her class that have started using make-up, and she of course writes about Daniel, someone she would not mind kissing. She also writes about her grandfather who forgets everything (perhaps even her!), and about their asthmatic old dog who makes the world a little brighter.

This book, which is a bind-up of the first three books in the Yoko series, follows the protagonist from when she is ten to turning twelve. The books in the series have an authentic tone and humour to them, and they don’t leave out the sadness and worries that young readers can relate to. The reader gets to closely follow Yoko as she is finding her way through life as a pre-teen embarrassed by her parents and navigating around her peers.

The series currently consists of the following titles:

Yoko’s Diary: The Night Book

Yoko’s Diary: Cringe and Catastrophe

Yoko’s Diary: Pitchblack and Perfect
