How Bamse, Shellman and Little Hop Met

The classic characters are back with an origin story that will delight readers of all ages familiar with Bamse and his friends!

Did you ever wonder how Bamse, Shellman the turtle, and Little Hop the rabbit met? In this book, you will find the answer. It begins with Little Hop moving away from home with his siblings. Somewhere along the way, there is The Wolf, who has just become the world champion in meanness (even with a diploma to prove it). So, he poses a challenge to himself: to catch seven rabbits in the same sack.

The Wolf fiendishly catches all of the rabbits, but Little Hop himself manages to escape. While running, he crashes into Bamse. Bamse then tries to free the rabbits from the Wolf, and even Shellman appears by dropping himself on the Wolf. The Wolf in his anger then ties Bamse up, but the helpful bear asks Little Hop to bring his special honey that makes the bear incredibly strong, thus saving the day.

Both Little Hop and Bamse are thankful for each other’s help, and Shellman offers a place to live to the newly independent rabbit. The trio are now set, becoming good friends that show the value of helping someone else.

Based on the beloved characters created by Rune Andreasson, this new edition has been adapted by Charlotta Borelius from the Bamse stories. Rights and Brands represents the publishing rights for Bamse together with Storyhouse Egmont.
