Sarah Sheppard

Sarah Sheppard is an author and illustrator. After a university class in paleontology Sarah combined her profession with a passion for science and dinosaurs, and she wrote and illustrated the hugely popular and critically acclaimed book Lots of Dinosaurs, published in 2008.  Since then she has continued to write and illustrate several non-fiction books for children, always with a quirky mix of humor, facts and fantasy.

Her book Important Maps for Daydreamers and Adventurers has brought the curiosity for our amazing planet for tens of thousands of children about all the amazing, exciting and mysterious things you can find in the world.

  • Sheppard’s first book Lots of Dinosaurs was nominated for the August Price
  • Her book Important Maps for Daydreamers and is a best seller with over 60.000 copies sold
  • The book Dino Deluxe has been turned into a successful exhibition
  • Sheppard received the Carl von Linné Plaque for best non-fiction children’s book in 2013
  • Animated TV show “Dino Deluxe” on C More premiered in 2021
  • Nominated for Adlibrispriset 2023
