Skultuna was founded in 1607 by King Karl IX as a royal brass producer. Still active today, Skultuna is a leading premium brand in interior design and in fashion accessories. Skultuna is an official Moomin partner and this series has been developed in close contact with Moomin Characters Ltd.

The first series consisted of eight gold-plated figurines of some of the most beloved characters created by Tove Jansson; Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, Little My, Moominpappa, Moominmamma, Sniff, Snufkin & Stinky. The figurines are made of plated steel, making them timeless and long-lasting.

The first Skultuna x Moomin series was released in April 2021. Since then Skultuna has continued to grow the set, continuously adding more characters and special editions, such as Moomintroll and Little My in sterling silver.

In 2022 and 2023 Skultuna also launched Moomin ABC alphabet necklaces and earrings as a part of the initiative Reading, Writing and the Moomins.

The first batch of the figurine collection sold out in a matter of hours after launch. The collaboration was also nominated in the 2022 Licensing International Excellence Awards in the Home Décor category.
