A new animated film with the world’s strongest bear Bamse premieres in cinemas tomorrow, December 22nd. In the new movie Bamse and the Volcano Island (Bamse och Vulkanön), the self-glorifying little thief Kattja makes an entrance into Bamse’s world.
Just as everything seems to be calm and quiet at the home of Bamse and his friends, an emergency call comes from Skalman’s old research colleague, the biologist Beanka, who mysteriously seems to have disappeared on a research trip.
Bamse and the Volcano Island is the largest single investment in an animated film in Sweden, and the first film in a new trilogy from Nordisk Film Production based on Bamse’s fantastic world. The film is directed by Christian Ryltenius and features the voices of several famous actors like Rolf Lassgård, Johan Glans, Sissela Kyle and Johan Ulveson.
Bamse and the Volcano Island premieres in Swedish Cinemas December 22, 2021.
