Linda Bondestam among Finland's nominees for prestigious ALMA Award

Linda Bondestam has been nominated for the ALMA Award for the second year in a row. 

Celebrated author and illustrator Linda Bondestam has been nominated for the 2021 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award, alongside Finnish author Salla Simukka. The two were selected by IBBY Finland, The Finnish Institute for Children’s Literature and the Finnish Library Association. Bondestam has previously been nominated for the ALMA Award five times.

The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA) is the world’s greatest award for children’s and young adult literature. The list of nominees includes a vast variety of authors, illustrators, oral storytellers and reading promoters. The aim of the award is to promote interest in children’s and young adult literature with a glorious collection of wonderful nominees.
