Two Rights and Brands represented books have been shortlisted for The Most Beautiful Book in Finland 2021! The books are among 65 other titles competing for The Most Beautiful Book of The Year 2021.

Asphalt! (Asfalttia!) by Salla Savolainen, originally published by WSOY has been nominated in the category Non-Fiction and Textbook. Asphalt is the ultimate construction book for young construction fans packed with mixers, diggers, bulldozers, and all things imaginable that one could find on a construction site. Asphalt is the first part of Salla Savolainen’s trilogy. 

Leo the Lion Faces His Fears (Leo Leijona voittaa pelon) by Nina Pirhonen, originally published by Otava Publishing Company has been nominated in the category Children’s and YA books. Leo the Lion Faces His Fears is a heartfelt picture book that helps young readers navigate some more difficult transitions in life. Other books about Leo the Lion include Leo the Lion Says No and Leo the Lion Makes Friends. 

The Most Beautiful Books of the Year are chosen by The Finnish Book Art Committee whose aim is to find books where form and content support each other in the best way possible. The committee focuses on graphic design, typography, printed product and much more. A jury consisting of representatives from the Committee will choose The Most Beautiful Book 2021 and collect 25 books from the shortlisted titles for The Most Beautiful Books 2021 collection. The winner of the award will be announced in March 2022.
