“The Moomin Phenomenon” is the newest Moomin podcast. The podcast consists of five episodes that dive into different aspects of the Moomin world to answer the question “How did these little trolls become world celebrities?”
The narrator of the podcast is Jennifer Saunders, widely recognized for her role as Edina Monsoon in the tv-series Absolutely Fabulous. Moomin fans might recognize her voice from playing Mymble in the Moominvalley animation series which premiered in 2019. In the podcast, Saunders will take listeners on a personal and entertaining ride through all aspects of the Moomin universe.
From speaking to a paediatric doctor who led a project to decorate a children’s hospital with Moomin quotes to fans who want to remember the stories every day by taking Moomin tattoos, ‘The Moomin Phenomenon’ explores why so many people around the world connect so profoundly with the characters created by Tove Jansson.
