“Many of the Moomin values are important for us at Rätt Start as well. Our focus is on the little ones and their first years, making love and friendship meaningful values for us. We take care of the small, new and fragile ones as they grow and explore the world,” Anna Helgesson, Rätt Start’s Head of Design, comments.
“We’re continuously aiming to minimize our ecological footprint through smarter material choices and minimizing the amount of plastic used in our packaging,” Helgesson continues.
New and old classics
Rätt Start’s pram toys, pacifiers and cuddle blankets are some of their must-have items for all families with babies. The charming products are designed to be both stylish and playful, honoring the company’s Scandinavian roots.
A new Rätt Start classic is the wooden Moomintroll lamp, which was launched in the beginning of this year. The functional lamp works both as a reading lamp or as a night light as it has two modes. Press the front of the lamp one time for a bright light, twice for a softer light and one more time to turn off the light entirely. The lamp is already sold out in many stores, but you can now find it in the Moomin webshop!
This spring’s new bibs feature Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden in the jungle. The bibs help keep the small ones’ clothes clean and are machine-washable. They come in packs of two, so you can either keep both for yourself or give the other one as a gift.
Playful Moomin products with a twist
Rätt Start was founded in 1988, when the founders realized that the selection of baby items was very limited in Sweden. The company’s first products were a baby carrier and cloth diapers, but the selection has grown together with the brand, and Rätt Start is now a successful baby and children’s brand available all over the world. Moomin and Rätt Start have a long history together, as the collaboration started already in the beginning of 2000s.
The safe and fun products are valued by both adults and children.
“Something that has been very successful for us are the toys made of natural materials. Our Moomin teether with a natural rubber ring has been really popular! Also our Moomin plates, mugs and cutlery have been loved by many throughout the years,” Marcus Bjurenstedt, owner of Rätt Start, tells.
The development of new Moominous baby products continues. “In the future, we want to continue working with new materials and creating stylish and playful Moomin products with a twist – products that will be loved by both children and adults for years to come,” Bjurenstedt and Helgesson tell.
