At the end of 2023, two new Moomin Shops opened in the city of Yokohama, Japan.
Moomin Shop Yokohama opened its doors on the 15th of December, 2023, and is located in the JOINUS building connected to one of the biggest terminals in Japan, Yokohama station. The 136m2 shop Moomin Shop is filled with products from local and European licensees.
The theme of the Yokohama shop is based on the comic “Moomins and the Sea” and has already gathered many Moomin fans to visit and shop for Moomin products.
In the back of the shop is a library space where customers can read Moomin novels, picture books, and comics. On the wall, several Moomin characters are displayed with character introductions.

New Casual Edition Shop
Alongside the Yokohama Shop, the Moomin Shop CASUAL EDITION Yokohama, the third of its kind in Japan, opened in November 2023. This casual edition shop features a diverse range of miscellaneous goods perfect for everyday use, inviting customers to infuse their daily lives with Moominous magic.
